JDU MP Ajay Kumar Mandal has resigned from the party. The MP has written a resignation letter to CM Nitish Kumar, which he shared with his X handle on Tuesday (October 14, 2025). Ajay Mandal has made serious allegations along with leaving the party. He says, “Despite being a local MP, no advice was taken in giving me the ticket, hence there is no justification for me continuing on the post of MP.”
‘Such decisions are being taken in the organization since few months…’
Ajay Mandal has said in a letter to Nitish Kumar, “With your blessings and guidance, I have been serving the people as MLA and MP in Bhagalpur region for the last 20-25 years. In this long political life, I have considered Janata Dal (U) like my family and have worked to strengthen its organization, workers and public relations. Along with the district president, in-charge and workers in Bhagalpur and Navgachia districts, I have always worked for the party. I have been working towards strength. But for the last few months, such decisions are being taken in the organization which are not a good sign for the party and its future.”

It is further written, “Despite being a local MP, I am not being consulted or discussed in the process of distribution of tickets for the assembly elections. It is coming to light that tickets are being given to people who have never worked for the party organization, while the opinion of the district president and the local leadership is being completely ignored.”
JDU MP is not even being allowed to meet?
Ajay Mandal has made serious allegations through the letter and said that he is not being allowed to meet Nitish Kumar. Nor are their opinions being heard. He said, “My aim is not to cause any kind of resentment or opposition, but to save the party and your leadership from any harm in the future. If priority continues to be given to outsiders or inactive people, then the roots of the party will weaken and it will have a direct impact on the leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister, which is a matter of concern for all of us.”
