Bihar Assembly Election 2025: These are 6 big thorns in Tejashwi’s path to becoming CM, know how tough the fight is this time.

Tejashwi Yadav, 35-year-old leader of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is at the center of Bihar politics. This time the path of Tejashwi Yadav is not easy. This time he is facing the toughest competition from Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishor, because PK has started his campaign from Raghopur, although he has not yet formally declared himself a candidate.

For Tejashwi Yadav, Raghopur constituency is not just a geographical place but it is a stronghold linked to family heritage. His victory reminds of the victory of his father Lalu Prasad Yadav and mother Rabri Devi. Tejashwi Yadav won from Raghopur twice (2015 and 2020).

Who is Satish Kumar Yadav
His victory margin over BJP’s Satish Kumar (who is also a Yadav candidate and had earlier defeated Rabri Devi) was 38,174 votes. In such a situation, this can also become a big challenge for Tejashwi.

Asaduddin Owaisi becomes a challenge
Apart from this, Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is also preparing to field many candidates in Bihar this time. In 2020, AIMIM had won 5 seats in Muslim-dominated Seemanchal. His ability to attract Muslim votes is a major threat to the Grand Alliance.

Family discord is also a big factor
After this, discord in Tejashwi Yadav’s family is also a big factor. His elder brother Tej Pratap Yadav and sister Rohini Acharya are emerging as potential destroyers, their ambitions and resentment are boiling inside. Whispers of discontent within the Yadav family could prove damaging, raising doubts over Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership at a crucial juncture.

Congress is hesitant in making CM face
Making the matter more complicated is the stance of the Congress party, which is an ally party and is hesitating in making Tejashwi Yadav the chief ministerial candidate. Due to this, an atmosphere of uncertainty is being created among the supporters. In a coalition that hinges on unity, the absence of a clear candidate could hamper Tejashwi Yadav’s ability to unite for a successful campaign.

Trouble regarding seat distribution
In the end, bargaining is also a big reason somewhere. Allies like Left parties especially Dipankar Bhattacharya led CPI-ML, JMM and VIP party leader Mukesh Saini. There is a problem somewhere regarding seat distribution. Tejashwi Yadav’s dream of becoming CM seems to be getting shattered somewhere due to all these reasons.
