NDA Bihar Seat Sharing 2025: After the announcement of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the long discussions regarding seat sharing in NDA (National Democratic Alliance) finally ended today. On Sunday, all the constituent parties of NDA together decided the final formula of seat sharing.
Union Minister and Bihar election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan gave official information about this formula by posting on social media platform ‘X’. Dharmendra Pradhan told that both BJP and JDU have got 101 101 seats in NDA. With this, JDU and BJP will once again enter the field in Bihar politics with an equal partnership.
Know how the seat distribution happened
According to sources, NDA has adopted a new formula for its allies – six assembly seats instead of one MP seat. Seats have been distributed on this basis. Chirag Paswan of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has got 29 seats on the basis of five MPs. At the same time, Upendra Kushwaha’s RLJP has been given six seats on the basis of one MP and Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hum Party has also got six seats on the basis of one MP.
CM Nitish showed ‘big heart’
JDU has shown great courage in the 2025 assembly elections. In the 2020 elections, JDU contested 115 seats and won 43 seats. This time the party has decided to contest elections on 101 seats, reducing it by 14 seats. JDU has taken this step with the aim of leaving space for its allies and maintaining the unity of the alliance.
BJP in the role of ‘twin brother’
This time, giving priority to the spirit of alliance, BJP has decided to play the role of twin brother. In the 2020 elections, BJP contested on 110 seats and won 78 seats. In the assembly elections 2025, the party will contest on 101 seats i.e. 09 seats have been left for its allies. Political analysts believe that BJP has taken this decision to strengthen the stability of the alliance and electoral coordination.
‘Nitish Kumar is the one in the driving seat’
JDU leader KC Tyagi said that now the relationship between JDU and BJP has become like ‘twin brothers’ and not ‘elder brother-younger brother’. He said that the party is completely satisfied and no one has any complaints today.
Tyagi clearly said that only Nitish Kumar will be the face of the Chief Minister in Bihar, no matter how many seats anyone gets in the NDA. He reminded that many times in the past also the number of BJP MLAs has been more than that of JDU, but the Chief Minister has always been Nitish Kumar.
He said, ‘Whether seats are more or less, only Nitish Kumar is on the driving seat.’ Along with this, he said about NDA allies, ‘Paswan, Manjhi and Kushwaha ji belong to our family. Our DNA is the same because all of them once emerged from the Janata Dal.
