There have been very few leaders in Bihar politics who have maintained the public trust by winning elections continuously. Senior leaders like Sadanand Singh (Congress) and Ramai Ram (RJD/JDU/Congress) have been MLAs nine times, but now both are no more. Now only Harinarayan Singh is left in the category of these veterans, who is still in active politics and is preparing for his tenth victory.

If Harinarayan Singh wins again in 2025, it will be a proud moment not only for him but for the entire Bihar. This will show that leaders who consistently win public trust can still retain their place in politics. Now it has to be seen whether the people of Harnaut this time give them the historic 10th victory for which the entire state is waiting.

Only a few leaders in India have created a special identity by winning assembly elections ten or more times. M. Karunanidhi of Tamil Nadu had won the elections 13 times, Ganpat Rao Deshmukh of Maharashtra had won the elections 11 times, Oommen Chandy of Kerala had won the elections 11 times and Haridev Joshi of Rajasthan had won the elections 10 times.

Now Bihar is also on the threshold of joining this glorious list. If the results are in favor of Harinarayan Singh, it will prove to be a new chapter for the state.

Harinarayan Singh’s political journey started from Harnaut assembly constituency of Nalanda district. This is the same area where Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s home district is also located. After winning for the first time in 1977, he continuously maintained contact with the people of his area. He won in 1983, 1990, 2000, 2005 (twice), 2010, 2015 and 2020. Now in 2025, he is contesting for the tenth time and is hoping to create a new history on the trust of the public.

Harinarayan Singh says that the real key to success in politics is direct contact with the public. He said that I always stay among the people, listen to their problems and try to solve them. Public trust is my real strength. I am sure that this time too she will support me and I will create history by winning for the 10th time.

Apart from Harinarayan Singh, there are many leaders in Bihar who have maintained a continuous winning streak. Vijendra Prasad Yadav (Supaul) and Prem Kumar (Gaya) have been MLAs eight times and are now trying for the ninth victory. Jitan Ram Manjhi and Surendra Prasad Yadav have also won the elections eight times each, while Shravan Kumar has now reached the public for the eighth time after the seventh victory.
