Now less than a month is left for Bihar Assembly elections. Regarding this, while talking to news agency ANI in Haridwar on Friday (October 17), Baba Ramdev said that all the major players including Jan Suraj Party’s Prashant Kishore and AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi are expressing confidence in victory.
He said, ‘In Bihar, everyone including the Grand Alliance is showing full strength. Everyone is confident that they will win, be it the Grand Alliance, Prashant Kishor or Owaisi. However, the NDA is not only the most politically powerful alliance in the country at present, but is also led by PM Modi, whose personality is as strong as the Himalayas. Today no opposition leader is capable of competing with PM Modi.
Which parties are included in NDA?
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) includes 5 parties, which include BJP, JDU, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. BJP and Janata Dal (United) are contesting on 101 seats, while Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest on 29 seats.
Who is with Congress?
Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha will contest elections on six seats each. NDA has released the list of almost all the candidates, but LJP (R) has not announced some names yet. The grand alliance includes RJD, Congress, CPI(ML) led by Dipankar Bhattacharya, CPI, CPI(M) and Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP).
The main contest in Bihar will be between NDA led by BJP and Janata Dal (United) and India Block led by Tejashwi Yadav of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). Let us tell you that voting for the 243-seat Bihar Assembly will be held on November 6 and November 11 and the counting of votes will take place on November 14.
