Bihar Latest News: In Bihar, children will no longer be able to go to school by auto and e-rickshaws. In view of the safety of children, the Transport Department has imposed a complete ban on this from 1 April 2025. The government has taken this decision in view of the ever increasing road accidents in Bihar. This order has been issued by Bihar Police Headquarters Traffic Division.
It has been said in the order that the Bihar government has decided to ban the operation of auto rickshaw/e-rickshaws from April 01, 2025 for the transport of school children/students. In this regard, the Transport Department, Government of Bihar notification No.-06/Vividh (E. Rickshaw)-07/2015 Transport is released, on the order of which it is mentioned that e-rickshaw/e carts will not be used in the transport of school children.
Painful events get an invitation
On January 21, information was also published through advertisements in daily newspapers. However, despite this, e-rickshaws are being operated indiscriminately for the transport of school children, which is inviting painful road accidents.
Especially impact will be seen in Patna
The impact of this decision of the government will be seen especially in the capital Patna. About 4 thousand autos and e-rickshaws bring children to school in Patna. Patna’s DTO Upendra Kumar Pal has already said that it is not safe to send children to school with auto and e-rickshaws. At the same time, Patna Traffic SP said that it is illegal to deliver children to school with auto and e-rickshaws.
From April 1, there is a complete ban on taking children to school by auto and e-rickshaws. The Transport Department and the Traffic Police Department will take strict action against those who break the rules, whatever auto and e-rickshaw drivers will be found violating the rules, strict action will be taken against them.
