The seat -sharing in the NDA has been almost fixed for the assembly elections in Bihar. The seats between the BJP and the JDU have been coordinated, both parties can contest the seats, while Chirag Paswan’s LJP is demanding 40 seats. We can go 6-7 assembly seats in the account of the party and Upendra Kushwaha’s party.
According to media reports, JDU and BJP can contest in 100 to 105 seats. In the 2020 assembly elections, JDU contested 115 and BJP 110 seats. At that time, VIP, who was part of the NDA, contested 11 seats and we 7 seats.
At that time LJP was not with the NDA and contested 135 seats alone. But he got only one seat. BJP got 74 seats, while JDU got 43 seats. But sources say that this time JDU will not agree to less than 100 seats.
This time Chirag Paswan’s party LJP is demanding 40 seats, but it can get almost half the seats, the remaining seats can be given to Jitan Ram Manjhi Hum and Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLM. If Mukesh Sahni’s party VIP who is currently involved in the RJD-Congress Grand Alliance changes, then the equation can change. However, now there is less scope to change his frost. He is constantly riding on the chariot with Rahul and Tejashwi.
A big NDA leader says that JDU’s performance was poor due to LJP last time, the party still has about 10% of the votes in Bihar. Especially in the most backward class (EBC). The election is being fought under the leadership of Nitish Kumar. The entire focus is on making him the Chief Minister again. There is no question of JDU contesting elections in less seats than BJP, although some changes can be made to accommodate allies.
At the same time, the leaders of JDU argue that the one who has an increase in the assembly elections in the Lok Sabha elections should get at least as much seats. Some NDA constituents also want the seat sharing to be done according to the strike rate. We party and LJPR are considering their strike rate better, they are also stating the claim on this basis.
