Bihar Elections Results 2025: In the initial trends of Bihar Assembly elections, NDA alliance seems to be far ahead of the Grand Alliance. Earlier exit polls had also predicted the return of NDA to power. Such trends are not only showing the electoral direction but are also giving an important indication for the future of the Grand Alliance and especially Tejashwi Yadav.
Tejashwi Yadav: Established face of Bihar politics
According to election analyst and political expert Rakesh Shukla, even though the trends are not the final results, it clearly shows that Tejashwi Yadav has now become the central face of Bihar politics.
Some major reasons behind this:
Tejashwi’s influence in 2020 elections- Tejashwi Yadav on his own had given 75 seats to RJD, which was the highest number of seats won by any party in that election. This time also RJD is at the forefront in the trends- The Grand Alliance may be behind, but Tejashwi’s party RJD is far ahead of the opposition parties – a clear indication that his support base is still strong.
Strong performance in the elections of 2015 and 2024 also- Tejashwi has been continuously leaving his mark in electoral politics and proving that he is an acceptable leader on the political ground of Bihar.
Why couldn’t Tejashwi walk this time?
Senior journalist Rohit says that this time the public showed hesitation in accepting Tejashwi as CM. He believes that the public mood was different from what was expected for the Yadav-Muslim vote bank to unite.
The grand alliance had made Tejashwi the chief ministerial face and Mukesh Sahni as the deputy CM candidate so that the Mallah votes along with Yadav-Muslims could be attracted. But the strategy could not give the expected results.
Did the public reject Tejashwi?
It is clear from the trends that Grand alliance could not succeed based on its alliances and equations But the public has not completely rejected Tejashwi Yadav. The strong position of RJD shows that Tejashwi has now become a permanent and strong player in the politics of Bihar.
Although NDA is in a strong position in the initial trends, but Tejashwi Yadav’s political status and support base remains safe and strong. This election is not a defeat for them but is indicating that they will emerge stronger in the times to come.
