In the Bihar Assembly elections, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has performed brilliantly and won 5 seats. National President of All India Muslim Jamaat, Maulana Mufti Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi has given a statement on this. He said in an interview to IANS, “AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi performed very well in Bihar elections. He has been playing a special role in Seemanchal for some time. However, it is not only the responsibility of the Muslims to stop the BJP, but it is also the responsibility of the parties calling themselves secular to stop the BJP.
The results of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 show that Seemanchal has now become a permanent and strong political base of AIMIM. Out of 243 seats in the state, the party contested only 25 seats and won 5 seats. This figure may seem small, but its importance is huge, because AIMIM got deep public support in these 5 areas and it proved that the trust in the party among the voters of Seemanchal is continuously increasing. These include seats like Jokihat, Bahadurganj, Kochadhaman, Amour and Bayasi, where the leadership with local identity like Murshid Alam, Tausif Alam, Sarwar Alam, Akhtarul Iman and Ghulam Sarwar was successful in registering victory easily.
