Seats have been divided in NDA regarding Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party ‘Hum’ has got six seats. Now rebellion has started in Manjhi’s party. National Secretary of ‘Hum’ Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma has resigned from the party. Told ABP News on Monday (October 13, 2025) that he will contest the elections as an independent candidate from Jehanabad.
Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma is considered very close to Jitan Ram Manjhi. He is a resident of Palaya village of Makhdumpur. When Jitan Ram Manjhi became the Chief Minister while being the MLA of Makhdumpur, at the same time Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma was made the National Secretary of HAM Party. After Jitan Ram Manjhi and his son Santosh Kumar Suman, he used to interfere in the decisions of Hum Party.
Jehanabad seat did not come to Manjhi’s account
Actually, Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma was very active in Jehanabad assembly constituency and has organized many big rallies on the instructions of Jitan Ram Manjhi. When Jehanabad seat did not go to Manjhi after NDA’s seat distribution, Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu got a deep shock. This is the reason why he has now decided to contest as an independent.
Ritesh Kumar will file nomination on October 16
When Hum Party got less seats in NDA, Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma blamed Santosh Kumar Suman, son of Jitan Ram Manjhi and alleged that he had sold the ticket after taking money. This has deeply hurt the dedicated workers. Now Ritesh Kumar alias Chunnu Sharma has said that he will file his nomination on 16th October.
Let us tell you that we have got a total of six seats in our account. These include Tikari, Kutumba, Atari, Imamganj, Sikandra and Barachatti. Now it has to be seen how much loss the NDA candidate faces on this seat due to Ritesh Kumar contesting the elections.
