Osama Shahab, son of late MP Shahabuddin, has been given the symbol from the party to contest the elections. Osama Shahab will contest assembly elections from Raghunathpur seat on RJD ticket. Current MLA Harishankar Yadav has given up his seat and supported Osama. This step is a sign of strengthening Shahabuddin’s political legacy.
Who is Osama Shahab?
Osama Shahab was born on 12 June 1995 in Siwan. His initial studies were in Siwan only. He went to Delhi for 10th class studies. Osama studied 12th from GD Goenka School and then he went to London for further studies. From there he completed his LLB studies. Osama got married to Ayesha from Siwan in 2021. Ayesha is a doctor by profession and has done MBBS from Aligarh Muslim University.
Many criminal cases registered against Osama
Let us tell you that criminal cases are also registered against Osama Shahab. He was arrested in a case in 2023. Were caught from Kota, Rajasthan. Siwan court sent him to judicial custody. Later bail was granted. In 2023, an FIR was lodged against him for firing, attempt to murder and under the Arms Act in a property dispute in Motihari. In this case also he has got bail from the court.
Harishankar Yadav is MLA from Raghunathpur.
Talking about 2020 elections, RJD’s Harishankar Yadav had won from Raghunathpur assembly seat. He got 67,757 votes. Manoj Kumar Singh, who contested the election on LJP ticket after not getting the ticket from NDA, got 49,792 votes. JDU’s Rajeshwar Chauhan got 26,162 votes and BSP’s Vinay Kumar Pandey got 5,295 votes.
Let us tell you that Osama is the only son of Shahabuddin. His mother Hina Shahab contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections as an independent candidate from Siwan but lost. After this, in October 2024, Osama Shahab and his mother Hina Shahab joined RJD. At that time both Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav were present.
