There was panic in Muzaffarpur on Monday morning (December 15, 2025) when four dead bodies were found hanging from a house. The incident took place in Mishrauli village of Sakra police station area of the district. The death of four people of the same family caused a sensation. The dead include a father and his three daughters. Everyone’s bodies were hanging from noose.
The deceased have been identified as father Amarnath Ram (36-37 years), daughter Anuradha Kumari (11-12 years), Shivani Kumari (about 10 years) and Radhika Kumari (about 7-8 years). It is being told that Amarnath Ram had also hanged his two sons Shivam (6 years) and Chandan (about 4 years), but both of them survived. After their noise, the people of the village gathered. This incident is said to have happened late at night.
Body sent for post mortem
As soon as information about the incident was received, the police of Sakra police station reached the spot. The bodies were sent for post-mortem. After this incident, there is a mournful silence in the village. The family members are in bad condition while crying and the people around there are in mourning. Police have started further process. Inquired the people nearby regarding this incident. Tried to find out the reason.
According to the villagers, Amarnath Ram was struggling with debt and financial crisis for a long time. It is feared that under this pressure he has taken such a dreadful step. However, the reason behind this suicide will become clear only after investigation.
About Amarnath, a person from the village said, “He did not want to earn. Earlier, when his wife earned, he used to go. He used to leave in the morning. He used to come at night while wandering. He used to do some work for someone and used to get money.” Another person said, “He used to drink alcohol… He did not have the facility of light… firewood or anything else. He was a drug addict.

Amarnath’s wife has died. Son Shivan told that everyone had dinner at night. He told that it was his father who had hanged everyone and asked them to jump from the trunk. When he (Shivam) jumped, he felt pain in his neck and so he opened the noose. Then he also removed the noose from the neck of his brother Chandan. In this way both were saved. At present the police have kept both the children with them.
