The regular bail petitions of independent MP from Purnia Pappu Yadav will be heard in Patna Civil Court on Thursday (February 12, 2026). He will be brought to the court from Beur jail at around 11 am under tight security. According to the information, the time of hearing on the regular bail petitions filed in two cases is scheduled at around 11.30 am.
Earlier, he had got bail in the 31-year-old case of fraudulently renting and occupying a house, but due to not getting bail in other cases, he had to stay in Beur jail. Today, his bail petitions are to be heard in the case of obstructing government work registered in Buddha Colony police station and another case of Kotwali police station in the year 2017.
The court had received a bomb threat
It is being told that these petitions were to be heard on Wednesday also, but the proceedings were postponed after the Civil Court received a bomb threat through email. As a precautionary measure, the court premises were evacuated and the special police squad and bomb disposal squad reached the spot and investigated. Even before this, the Civil Court has received threats, due to which the security agencies are on alert.
Pappu Yadav was arrested after high voltage drama
It is noteworthy that he was arrested amid high voltage incidents on Friday in the case of fraudulent renting and possession of a house in the year 1995. Pappu Yadav’s supporters allege that he was continuously raising his voice regarding the case of suspicious death of a student and was allegedly exposing irregularities in the police investigation, that is why he was targeted. Along with this, Pappu Yadav himself has also made similar allegations.
