In Siwan, Bihar, around 10:00 pm on Thursday (12 February), Hindustan newspaper’s block correspondent Ramesh Kumar was shot by miscreants at Bhawanipur in Pachrukhi police station area. It is being told that journalist Ramesh was shot in the stomach. After which the local people in Anand-Khanan brought him to Siwan Sadar Hospital for treatment. Where he was treated and after that the doctor termed his condition as serious and referred him to Patna PMCH.
However, on this whole matter, Police Captain Puran Kumar Jha reached Sadar Hospital and talked to the injured journalist Ramesh and started investigating the matter. Let us tell you that in the year 2015 also, Rajdev Ranjan, who was in-charge of Hindustan newspaper, was shot dead by miscreants in the night in Station Road.
Shot while returning from wedding ceremony
It is being told that journalist Ramesh had come to attend a wedding ceremony in Siwan and his bike was parked at his market in Bhawani Maa. When he was returning to his home on a four-wheeler, he reached near his market at Bhawani Marg Mor to collect his bike and those who were going to their home with their bike were shot by miscreants near Bhawani Mor. Although the bullet hit him in the stomach, the doctors of Siwan’s Sadar Hospital have referred him to Patna PMCH.
There is a connection with Dubai
While talking to the media, the injured journalist Ramesh told that a few years ago there was a gang war in Pachrukhi and he came across the name of a criminal in the gang war case. He wanted to take help from us to get his name removed from the case but how could I, the journalist, help and if we did not help, he went to jail. He even threatened me with jail regarding this. Regarding which I had also given an application in Pachrukhi police station and now he has come out of jail and gone to Dubai. It is he who has done the work to bring about this incident. However, journalist Ramesh has not openly told him the name of the criminal. He told that the police of Pachrukhi police station will tell everything because the case was registered there on my application.

After this entire incident, Police Captain Puran Kumar Jha, who reached Sadar Hospital in Siwan, while talking to the media, said that when we reached the spot, a bullet casing was found there. The forensic team had also reached there. The matter is being investigated and we feel that it is a case of personal rivalry. Investigation is being done at all points as to why journalist Ramesh was shot and who shot him. Very soon the matter will be closed.
The person in charge of Hindustan was also murdered
