The monsoon has once again become active in Bihar and the continuous rains for the last two days have increased the problems of the people of the state. On Wednesday, many districts including the capital Patna were cloudy throughout the day and rains continued to rain. At the same time, on Thursday, the Meteorological Department has forecast rain in most parts of the state. Warning of heavy rainfall has been issued, especially in six districts.
Red alert in many districts
According to the Meteorological Center, Patna, there is a possibility of rain in 26 districts of western and central part of Bihar on Thursday. Out of these 6 districts Siwan, Saran, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Buxar and Rohtas have been warned of heavy rains. In these districts, there may be strong rains with lightning and cloud roaring at some places. The department has appealed to the people to take precautions.
The capital Patna, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Gaya, Aurangabad, Arwal, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Begusarai, Lakhisarai, Gopalganj, East Champaran, Western Champaran, Vaishali, Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Madhubani, Darbhanga and Samastipur districts are likely to be cloudy and raining intermittent rain. In these districts, there may be rain with lightning and strong winds.
Gaya most rainfall
On Wednesday, many districts of the state recorded a lot of rain. Gaya recorded the highest rainfall of 186.8 mm. Apart from this, Begusarai received 166.4 mm, 139.6 mm in Samastipur, 136.4 mm in Jamui, 126.8 mm in Saharsa, 120.8 mm in Aurangabad, 115.4 mm in Bhabhua and 107.4 mm in Nawada. According to the Meteorological Department, these figures are till 12 noon, even after this, heavy rains continued in many districts. The districts with red alerts included Saran, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali and Nalanda.
Heavy fall in temperature
Due to continuous rains, there has been a lot of difference in temperature. The capital Patna recorded a maximum temperature of 29 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, while the highest temperature in the state was 34.02 degrees Celsius in Motihari and the lowest maximum temperature was 27.6 degrees in Arwal. The maximum temperature in most districts was recorded between 28 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Monsoon will be weak in eastern Bihar
Although light rain may occur in some parts of East Bihar on Thursday, but the monsoon situation there is currently said to be weak. The Meteorological Department estimates that heavy to moderate rainfall may continue in western and central districts in the coming days, due to which the water level of rivers is also expected to increase.
