Bihar Oath Ceremony: These MLAs from BJP, JDU, LJP (R), HAM and RLM took oath as ministers in Nitish government, see full list here


Janata Dal (United) national president Nitish Kumar took oath as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time on November 20 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered him the oath of office and secrecy. Kumar took oath on the Constitution of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Bharatiya Janata Party National President JP Nadda and many other top leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) attended the swearing-in ceremony. Chief Ministers of many NDA ruled states also participated in this program.

In the NDA government, 23 MLAs and 2 MLCs took the oath of office and secrecy as ministers. A total of 26 MLAs took oath as ministers in the new government. The swearing-in ceremony started at 11.30. Talking party wise, 14 ministers were made from BJP, JDU – 8 and 1-1 and 2 ministers were made from HAM, RLM and LJP (Ram Vilas) respectively.

Bihar has historically served as a leading voice in the moral and social bedrock of India and with good governance it is poised to contribute even more strongly as our economic growth engine!

Let us tell you that in the results declared on November 14, NDA won a huge majority. In this election, BJP became the largest party with 89 seats, while 85 JDU, 25 RJD, 19 LJP (Ram Vilas), 6 Congress, 5 AIMIM, 5 HAM and 4 RLM won.
