NDA has got a landslide victory in Bihar Assembly elections (2025). Now a new government has to be formed. On Monday (November 17, 2025), Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a cabinet meeting. In this the proposal to dissolve the cabinet was passed. After this he met Bihar Governor Arif Mohammad Khan. However, Nitish Kumar has not resigned yet.
Preparations for swearing in begin at Gandhi Maidan
JDU leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary told the media regarding this that the cabinet has recommended dissolution of the present assembly from November 19. This has been conveyed to the Governor through the Chief Minister. On the other hand, preparations for the swearing-in ceremony have started at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also come to this function. The date of swearing in has been revealed as 20th November. The thing that is being discussed the most about the new government is who from which party will be made the minister?
A total of 36 ministers can be made in Bihar. According to the victory this time, 13 ministers each can be made from JDU and BJP. Three ministers can be made from Chirag Paswan’s party, one from Jitan Ram Manjhi’s party HAM and one from Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLM. This time many names may be shocking.
Discussion of these names including Nitin Naveen from BJP
If we talk about BJP quota among potential ministers, the names of Samrat Chaudhary, Nitin Naveen, Mangal Pandey, Hari Sahni are in the race. It is also discussed that if Vijay Kumar Sinha is not made a minister then he can be made the Speaker of the Assembly. Among the new candidates, Ramkripal Yadav, who won from Danapur, can also be made a minister. The name of Sanjeev Chaurasia, who won from Digha seat, is also in the race.
Jitan Ram Manjhi’s son Santosh Suman may get ministerial post from his party. Upendra Kushwaha’s wife can become a minister from Rashtriya Lok Morcha. Three MLAs from Chirag’s party can become ministers. Party’s state president Raju Tiwari, party’s principal general secretary Sanjay Paswan and Sanjay Singh, who won from Mahua assembly, can be made ministers.
Who can become minister from JDU?
Talking about Nitish Kumar’s party JDU, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Ashok Chaudhary, Leshi Singh, Madan Sahni, Jayant Raj and Sunil Kumar can become ministers again. Shyam Rajak may get a chance among the new faces. Jama Khan can be made Minority Minister. Because he is the only Muslim MLA in NDA who has won from Chenari seat.
