Actually, last Sunday (November 30, 2025) afternoon, a murder took place near the police lines in Chapra. In this case, during the action, an accused named Shikari Rai was injured by the police bullet. He is undergoing treatment. His other associates are being searched.
In this entire matter, Chhapra SSP Dr. Kumar Ashish said that yesterday (Sunday) afternoon a person was shot dead. We started working on the basis of the CCTV footage and evidence we received. In this sequence, Nand Kishore Rai alias Shikari Rai was detected. Location information was found near Akhtarpur canal. We caught him there.
The accused started firing in the garden
The SSP said that about the weapon which was identified, he (the arrested accused) said that it was in the garden. The team went there. During that time, after taking out his weapon, he opened fire. In this sequence the police retaliated. In this sequence, the bullet hit his left leg. Police have recovered two pistols, eight live bullets and three magazines along with two shells from there.
Kumar Ashish said that during strict interrogation he admitted that he was involved in yesterday’s (Sunday) incident. His involvement is also evident on the basis of CCTV footage. His other accomplices have been identified. SIT is continuously working for that also.
Referring to the murder that took place on Sunday, the SSP said that the deceased was also a professional shooter. More than 10 criminal cases are registered against him also. He has been involved in murder cases in many districts. There are also 6-7 cases against Shikari Rai. These people doubted among themselves whether he would kill her or she would kill him. This incident has happened here. He said that a policeman has also been injured. The bullet came out touching the shoulder.
Murder was committed in broad daylight in Chhapra
Let us tell you that last Sunday, a middle-aged man was shot dead in broad daylight in Chapra. The miscreants shot him in the head.
