A consensus has almost been reached regarding seat sharing in the Grand Alliance for the Bihar Assembly elections. According to sources, seat distribution may be announced by the Grand Alliance soon.

According to sources, Congress’ talks with Tejashwi Yadav have been finalized on about 60 seats. There is no entanglement between Congress and RJD now. Talks are still going on with the rest of the RJD alliance. Especially talks are being held with Mukesh Sahni of VIP.

Sources have also informed that seat sharing may be announced in the Grand Alliance on Tuesday (October 14). And after this, all the parties of the Grand Alliance can release the list of their respective candidates.

According to the seat sharing formula that has been agreed:

RJD – 135
Congress 60
Left parties (CPI ML, CPI, CPM) 30
seats can be found
18 seats can be left for VIP, JMM, IIP
VIP – 15, JMM- 2, IIP- 1

Conversation continues with Mukesh Sahni

Akhilesh Singh was continuously meeting Lalu Tejashwi demanding increase in seats for Congress. Meetings were held two-three times. They were also together in the flight, after which Tejashwi met the Congress leadership. A solution was found through negotiations.

Let us tell you that there were reports of displeasure from Mukesh Sahni regarding the distribution of seats in the Grand Alliance. He had said that the Grand Alliance is unwell and all the doctors are in Delhi, so I am going to Delhi and will tell after returning to Patna. However, now the news is that VIP chief Mukesh Sahni has agreed to seat sharing and is satisfied with 15 seats.

In such a situation, speculations are being made that on Tuesday (October 14), a formal announcement of seat sharing can be made by the Grand Alliance and soon the political parties can announce their candidates.
