The Election Commission has issued a notice on Thursday (August 14, 2025) to allegedly keep two voter ID cards to Dinesh Singh, MP of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and her husband of Janata Dal United from Vaishali in Bihar. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav raised this issue after which the Election Commission has come into action.

The official said, “The Election Registration Officer (ERO) of Muzaffarpur assembly constituency has sent a notice to the MP and her husband asking the Election Commission to reply on the issue of keeping two voter ID cards by August 16.”

‘I came to know through the press’

On the other hand, MP Veena Devi told reporters, “I don’t know how my name came in the voter list of Muzaffarpur assembly seat. I am only a registered voter of Sahebganj assembly seat. I came to know about it through the press.”

‘Tejashwi Yadav should say what he wants …’

He alleged that this discrepancy was caused by irregularities caused by the election officials. He said that he has submitted a form to remove his name from the Muzaffarpur voter list. Veena Devi said, “Tejashwi Yadav should say what he wants … he is in opposition, so he will say such things against the leaders of the ruling parties.”

Let us know that Tejashwi Yadav accused Veena Devi and Dinesh Singh of having two voter ID cards while sharing the screenshot allegedly taken from the draft voter list published in Bihar under a special intensive revision (SIR) in a post on social media platform X.

It was written on X, “She (Veena Devi) is a registered voter of the assembly seat under her Lok Sabha seat and is also a voter of Muzaffarpur assembly constituency under the same name. The name of her husband, Janata Dal United Legislative Council member Dinesh Singh is also registered in the life partner’s column.” Tejashwi Yadav alleged that her husband also has two EPIC cards for two different assembly seats.
