There is big news for millions of youth dreaming of becoming teachers in Bihar. The Bihar School Examination Committee (BSEB) has stopped the online application process for Bihar Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (STET 2025) by issuing a sudden notice on Friday. Earlier this application was to be held from September 11 to September 19, 2025, but due to technical problems, they have been postponed at the moment. The board has clearly stated that new dates of application will be announced soon. In such a situation, there is an appeal to the candidates to keep an eye on the official website of the board – secondary.biharboardonline.com and biharboardonline.com.

When will the exam and when will the result come?

Bihar Board has also clarified the date of examination and result in its notice. The STET exam will be held between October 4 to October 25, 2025. The results of the examination will be released on 1 November 2025. Candidates who have passed this exam will get the opportunity to apply for the fourth phase of BPSC Teacher Recruitment (TRE-4) and all the upcoming teachers recruitment.

Lifetime validity certificate

The board has announced another major relief for the candidates. Candidates who have passed STET 2025 will get the eligibility certificate with Lifetime Validity. That is, once you pass the exam, the candidate will not need to take the eligibility test again in future. This certificate is necessary to become teachers in government secondary and higher secondary schools in Bihar.

Who can apply?

Candidates applying for Bihar STET 2025 should have a bachelor’s degree. Also in the relevant subject, B.Ed. Degree is also mandatory. Talking about age, the minimum age for male candidates has been fixed at 21 years and maximum 37 years. At the same time, the maximum age limit for women has been kept at 40 years.

Exam pattern

There will be a total of 150 questions in Bihar STET 2025 exam. Of these, 100 questions will be related to the chosen subject of the candidate and the remaining 50 questions will be related to teacher art and other teaching skills. The duration of the examination will be two and a half hours i.e. 2.5 hours. This exam will be taken in two parts-Paper-1: For Secondary Level (Class 9-10), Paper-2: Higher Secondary Level (Class 11-12).
