Bihar Weather News 18 June 2025: The southwest monsoon has entered the state since Tuesday (June 17, 2025). It is likely to expand from today (Wednesday). Due to this, there is a possibility of rain in the majority districts of the state including the capital Patna. Today, heavy rain has been warned in eight districts of the eastern part of the state.

Today, the eight districts where heavy rainfall has been warned include West Champaran, Kishanganj, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Araria, Katihar and Purnia. In all these districts, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. Apart from cloud roaring, there is also every possibility of thunderstorms.

On the other hand, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Buxar, Bhojpur, Rohtas, Kaimur, Arwal, Aurangabad, Gaya, Jehanabad, Patna, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura, Begusarai and Lakhisarai are expected to have moderate rainfall today. In these districts, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. There is also a possibility of cloud roaring and thunderclap.

Talking about the north central and eastern areas of the state, light or moderate rainfall has also been predicted in Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamarhi, Shivhar, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Madhepura, Saharsa, Munger and Khagaria. Alert for cloud roaring and thunderstorms has also been issued in these areas.

Where did it cause so much rain in Bihar?

If you look at the data recorded before 12 noon on Tuesday afternoon, Siwan has the highest rainfall with 85.2 mm. Bhagalpur has received medium level rainfall with 53.7 mm, 53.4 in West Champaran, 31.6 in Katihar, 27.8 in Saharsa, 23.02 in Gopalganj, 21.6 in Purnia, 20.4 in Banka, 20.4 in Madhepura, 17.2 in Munger, 17.2 in Nawada and 15.4 mm in Araria.

Bhojpur had a temperature of 40.5 degrees Celsius. Other districts had temperatures below 40 degrees. Talking about Patna, the maximum temperature was 38 degrees. Today (Wednesday) temperature is expected to fall further.
