Badshah, who gained recognition in Punjabi and Hindi cinema due to his singing and rap, will celebrate his 40th birthday on Wednesday. Badshah’s rapping style and his voice are liked in every corner of India.

He left Delhi and studied engineering at Chandigarh College, Punjab, however, it was from there that rapper Prateek Singh Sisodia’s journey of becoming the ‘bad boy’ king began.

Badshah once wanted to become an IAS officer

Badshah’s initial education was from Delhi. He started singing in his school groups. He also dreamed of becoming an IAS officer when he grew up. At the age of 15, the rapper got a chance to perform in a club in Delhi and he got Rs 1,500 as his first fee.

After this, he started his career in the music industry with the stage name “Cool Equal”, but later changed his name to Badshah.

Why did the king change his name?

The rapper had revealed that he is a big fan of Shahrukh Khan and had decided to change his name only after listening to the song from his 1999 film ‘Badshah’.

Badshah’s career began in 2006 when he performed with fellow rapper Honey Singh. He was seen in Honey Singh’s show ‘Band Mafia Mundeer’. This platform was an opportunity for new singers to make their mark in the music world.

Initially he sang songs with Honey Singh, although there has always been a dispute between Honey Singh and Badshah on this matter. Rapper Badshah never gave credit to Honey Singh for launching him in his career, due to which there was a dispute between the two.

The year 2012 was great for Badshah, because his single songs started creating a stir. Badshah got his big break with his single “Bad Boy”, after which the song “Ladki Kar Gayi Chul” from the 2016 film ‘Kapoor & Sons’ and ‘DJ Wale Babu’ with Aastha Gill proved to be a hit. The rapper brought the song ‘Genda Phool’ in the year 2020, which along with being a hit, was also in controversies.
