Even a day before the formation of the new government in Bihar, a tussle is going on among the NDA allies for a share in the cabinet. Sources gave this information. JDU National President Nitish Kumar will take oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time on November 20 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna. BJP sources say that the party will retain most of the faces from the outgoing cabinet and three new faces are being considered. JDU may retain its present ministers in the new government.

Many top leaders of NDA including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Chief Ministers of various states will attend the swearing-in ceremony. BJP sources said that Shah may reach Patna on Wednesday night. Sources said that a consensus has been reached among NDA allies regarding the post of Assembly Speaker. BJP’s Prem Kumar can be made the president, while JDU will get the post of vice president.

How many new faces from BJP-JDU will be included in the cabinet?

According to sources, the new cabinet will include five to six new faces from NDA’s main constituents – BJP and JDU. Newly elected MLA from Mahnar and JDU state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha is also likely to join the cabinet. While JDU may retain its current ministers in the new government, BJP may bring in some new faces. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas), Jitan Ram Manjhi’s ‘Hum’ and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLM will also get representation.

How many ministers can take oath?

Sources said, “LJP (Ram Vilas) is likely to get three posts in the new cabinet, while ‘Hum’ and RLM may be given one post each. On November 20, a maximum of 16 ministers from BJP and 14 ministers from JDU, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, will take oath.”

Which leaders from JDU can become ministers?

JDU leaders who are likely to be included in the new cabinet include Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, Shravan Kumar, Sunil Kumar, Lacey Singh, Sheela Mandal, Madan Sahni, Ratnesh Sada, Mohammad Jama Khan, Jayant Raj, Umesh Singh Kushwaha and Ashok Chaudhary. Other possible names include Rahul Kumar Singh, Sudhanshu Shekhar, Kaladhar Prasad Mandal and Panna Lal Singh Patel.

Which BJP leaders can remain in the cabinet?

BJP sources say that the party will retain most of the faces from the outgoing cabinet and three new faces are being considered. Those who are likely to be retained in the cabinet include Samrat Chaudhary, Prem Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Nitish Mishra, Renu Devi, Jeevesh Kumar, Neeraj Kumar Singh, Janak Ram, Hari Sahni, Kedar Prasad Gupta, Surendra Mehta, Santosh Kumar Singh, Sunil Kumar and Moti Lal Prasad.

Apart from this, the possible new faces of BJP include former IPS officer Anand Mishra (elected from Buxar), Rana Randhir, Gayatri Devi and Vijay Kumar Khemka.
