BJP-Congress Clash: BJP reached the police station in the assault case, ‘100 to 150 Congressmen…’

The case of assault between BJP and Congress workers has now reached the police station on Friday (August 29, 2025) in the capital Patna. In Pataliputra police station, BJP Patna Metropolitan President Roop Narayan Mehta (50 years) has applied. On the basis of the application, the police will take further action by registering a case.

In the application given to the police station, the BJP leader has said that a march was being taken out peacefully from Kurji Hospital to Congress headquarters at 11.30 am on Friday morning. There was a peaceful protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother’s comment from the Congress leaders. As soon as the Congress headquarters reached, 100 to 150 Congress workers attacked BJP workers with lathi-danda and brick-stone as part of the previous conspiracy.

Many BJP workers injured

Roop Narayan Mehta said that many BJP workers have been injured in this. The injured include Ravindra Yadav, Jitendra Singh, Mukesh Yadav, Rahul Rai, Anil Sahni etc. He said that the injured were admitted to Kurji Holi Family Hospital for treatment where they are undergoing treatment. He has demanded action by marking the culprits.

‘Bihar will neither bear insulting mother nor country’

On the incident, Nitin Naveen, Road Construction Minister of Bihar Government and MLA of Bankipur said, “This is democracy, not Jungle Raj, where hateful remarks should be made for the Prime Minister and his mother of the country and then violence to crush peaceful protests. Congress politics is now only abusive, hooliganism and stone pelting. Mother will not be insulted, neither Bihar, nor country.” He said that the people of Bihar will never tolerate this inferior mentality and criminal politics of the Congress.
