Ramadan is a very holy month for the Muslim community.

Ramadan is considered the month of Rahmat i.e. mercy, Magfirat i.e. forgiveness and Najaat i.e. liberation. The tradition of Iftar and Sehri was especially observed in the Muslim community during Ramadan. During this time people also donate to the poor. Apart from reading Quran and Namaz, emphasis is given on charity and social harmony. It is believed that if someone observes thirty fasts of Ramadan with complete devotion, then Allah forgives all the sins of that person.

Ramadan the month of goodness and blessings

People of the Muslim community believe that the first part of this happy month of Ramadan is mercy, the second is forgiveness and the third is the path to salvation. Overall, it is considered a very auspicious month for worship.
