‘Keep meat shops closed near temples’
Regarding the holy festival of Navratri, BJP MLA Ravindra Singh Negi has appealed to the meat trades to keep open meat shops around the temples. He said that due to the arrival of BJP government in Delhi, the expectations of the people have increased and it is our duty to honor religious sentiments during the festival.
Ravindra Negi said that meat shops should not be opened within 100 meters of the temple during Navratri. He said, ‘When I was not an MLA and a corporation was a councilor, I still appealed to the people and everyone had cooperated. This is a major festival of Sanatan Dharma. This time too, I have urged traders and will continue to do further.
Like previous years, this time also the demand to close meat shops on Navratri has intensified. Many other MLAs of BJP have also appealed.
