BJP has released the fourth list for Kerala Assembly elections 2026. The name of one candidate has been announced in this. The Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party has nominated Advocate S. for the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections. Smita has been made the candidate. BJP has given him ticket from Varkala seat.

Advocate S Smitha has been active in the legal, social and political fields in Kerala. He has been in the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Recently he had joined BJP. Now BJP has fielded Advocate S. in the upcoming Kerala Assembly elections. Smita has been made her candidate from Varkala seat, which is going to be held in April 2026.
Announcement of 11 candidates in the third list
Earlier on March 21, BJP had released its third list of 11 candidates for the Kerala Assembly elections. The party has made Karamana Jayan its candidate from Thiruvananthapuram. Rabindranath Vakathanam will contest from Puthupalle, KR Rajesh from Chavara, RS Arun Raj from Chadayamangalam and V Ratheesh will contest from Peerumade seat. Vivek Gopan has been made the candidate from Aruvikkara seat, T N Suresh from Kovalam and S Rajasekharan Nair from Neyyattinkara seat. The party has fielded Ajimon from Mavelikkara seat, B S Anoop from Chirayinkeezhu and Pandalam Prathapan from Adoor seat.
When will the assembly elections be held in Kerala?
Voting will be held in Kerala in a single phase on April 9, 2026, while the results will be announced. A total of 2.71 crore voters will decide which party will form the government in the state with 140 assemblies. The elections will be held on the basis of the final voter list prepared and released on February 20, which has been prepared after special intensive revision. With the announcement of election dates, political parties have intensified preparations. Due to which there is a possibility of a very tough competition.
