Tejashwi Yadav has been appointed National Working President of RJD. This announcement was made in the party’s national executive meeting on Sunday (January 25, 2026). Unanimous approval was also given. After Tejashwi Yadav got the responsibility of this post, now a reaction has come from the Bharatiya Janata Party. National General Secretary of BJP OBC Morcha, Dr. Nikhil Anand called it Tejashwi’s victory in the battle of family and party.
After the announcement on Sunday, Dr. Nikhil Anand issued a statement saying that RJD’s decision to make Tejashwi Yadav the national working president of the party is a natural decision of a family party. RJD will now become the property of Tejashwi and Company, of which God will now be the owner.
The BJP leader said that after the Bihar Assembly elections, RJD has already lost its support base and political existence and there is a situation of discord between the family and the party. RJD MLAs, leaders and workers are raising questions on the arbitrariness of Tejashwi Yadav and his team. Due to unrest in RJD, there is speculation that the legislative party and organization will break up and merge with BJP and JDU.
‘Tej Pratap and Rohini were thrown out’
Nikhil Anand further said that during the Bihar Assembly elections, we all saw that Tejashwi removed his former Chief Minister parents Lalu Yadav-Rabri Devi from the posters and forced them to sit at home without campaigning. To completely dominate the party and family system, Tejashwi strategically ousted Tej Pratap and Rohini Acharya. Now under pressure from Tejashwi Yadav, the Lalu family has now decided to make him the national working president and later he will be declared the full president of the party.
New label on liquor bottle: Nikhil Anand
In conclusion, Nikhil Anand said, “There is no organization or ideology in RJD but this party now exists only to maintain the family political legacy, wealth and financial collection from the party’s illegal business and fraudulent funds. There will be no change in RJD except that a new label has been put on the old liquor bottle.”
