Hearing on appeals related to black buck hunting case was scheduled in Rajasthan High Court on Monday. These appeals relate to other accused including actor Salman Khan.
However, a single bench of Justice Baljinder Singh Sandhu refused to hear these appeals and directed that the case be heard before some other bench. An appeal is also pending from Saif Ali Khan and others in the case. At the same time, an appeal has been filed by Salman Khan against the 5-year sentence awarded in 2018.
Now all these appeals will be heard by some other bench of Rajasthan High Court. This matter is related to Jodhpur and is under consideration under the legal process for a long time.
What is the whole matter?
This matter is 26 years old. In 1998, during the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, actors Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Neelam, Tabu and Sonali Bendre were accused of hunting blackbuck.
Three cases were registered against Salman Khan in deer hunting case. Hearing of two cases is going on in the Supreme Court. The hearing of Kankani black buck hunting case is going on in Jodhpur High Court.
