Blood came out in Asim Munir’s eyes! Pakistani army killed 145 Baloch fighters in Balochistan in 2 days

Nearly 50 people were killed in a series of attacks in Balochistan, after which Pakistani security forces killed 145 Baloch fighters in a 40-hour long operation. The Chief Minister of Balochistan gave this information on Sunday (February 1). Authorities in the southwestern province are grappling with the deadliest attacks in years as Baluch fighters step up attacks on security forces and infrastructure in resource-rich Balochistan, which borders Iran and Afghanistan.

According to the report of news agency Reuters, Pakistan’s Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhary said that on Saturday, attackers disguised as civilians entered hospitals, schools, banks and markets and then started firing. He said that the attackers, disguised as civilians, indiscriminately targeted the common people working in shops. He further said that the terrorists used civilians as human shields.

Bad condition in capital Quetta
The separatist group Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attacks, saying it had launched an operation called ‘Herof’ or “Black Storm”, targeting security forces across the province. The marks of the attack are clearly visible in the capital Quetta. Burnt vehicles at a police station, bullet-riddled doors, roads sealed with yellow tape and patrolling by security forces are enough to indicate that a large-scale attack took place here.

What did Balochistan CM say?
Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti said that 17 policemen and 31 civilians were killed in the attacks. Pakistan Army said that 92 terrorists (Baloch fighters) were killed on Saturday, while 41 (Baloch fighters) were killed on Friday. “We had received intelligence that such an operation was being planned, and because of that we had started pre-operations a day in advance,” Bugti said. Bugti said that this is the highest number of terrorists killed in such a short period since the insurgency intensified.

Officials said the attacks took place almost simultaneously in Quetta, Gwadar, Mustang and Noshki districts. The attackers also fired on security establishments, including the headquarters of the Frontier Corps. Attempts were made to commit suicide bombings. After this, the army, police and anti-terrorism units retaliated on a large scale.

Decades of insurgency in Balochistan
Let us tell you that Balochistan is the largest and poorest province of Pakistan, where the insurgency of ethnic Baloch separatists has been going on for decades. These separatists are demanding their independence and share in natural resources from the Pakistani government. BLA has claimed that they have killed 84 soldiers of Pakistan security forces and captured 18 others.
