The attacker stabbed Qureshi with a sharp knife in his stomach. Qureshi was admitted to the hospital immediately after the attack. At present he is undergoing treatment at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Even before this, cases of such attacks have come to light, which has increased the concern.
Imtiaz Jalil’s car was also attacked
Earlier, former Sambhajinagar MP and MIM leader Imtiaz Jalil had gone to campaign, but his car was attacked by people. It is being told that this attack was carried out by MIMIM workers. Information has also come to light about people present with Jalil being assaulted, some videos of which have also gone viral.
After the incident, Imtiaz Jalil reached the police station to lodge a complaint. Serious concern is being expressed over the implementation of the code of conduct and the emergence of such violent incidents during campaigning.
