Actor and self-proclaimed film critic Kamal Rashid Khan alias KRK was taken into custody by Oshiwara police late on Friday night in connection with two rounds of firing in Mumbai. He is the main suspect in this case. KRK was brought to Oshiwara police station late on Friday evening. Police said that KRK has confessed to the firing in his statement and said that he had used a licensed gun. But he said that he did not intend to harm anyone.
Police confiscated KRK’s gun
Police further said that KR’s gun has been confiscated and paperwork is underway for further action. According to reports, the incident took place on January 18, in which two bullets were fired at a residential building in Oshiwara, Andheri. Two bullets were recovered from Nalanda Society. One from the second floor and the other from the fourth floor. One flat belongs to the writer-director, and the other to a model.

After the firing, bullet marks were found in the flat on the second and fourth floors.
Police suggested the case with the help of forensic team
As soon as information about the incident was received, a team of 18 policemen from Oshiwara police station under the leadership of Sanjay Chavan, along with several crime branch teams, was investigating the case. Initially the police could not find any clue as nothing was found in the CCTV footage. However, with the help of the forensic team, the police later confirmed that the bullets might have been fired from Kamal R Khan’s bungalow. Police sources said the paperwork is underway and the actor’s formal arrest could take place by the morning.

Kamal R Khan (KRK) is an Indian film personality, actor, producer, writer and internet commentator, known for his controversial statements in Bollywood and on social media. Born on January 1, 1975 in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, KRK gained popularity after producing, writing and acting in the 2008 film ‘Deshdrohi’.
