Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan has paid tribute to her father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi on the occasion of his 85th birthday. Soha Ali Khan reached Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata, she has also shared the video of this on social media. Soha Ali Khan has also shared an emotional message remembering her father.
In the video shared by Soha Ali Khan, she was seen roaming in the Eden Gardens grounds. In this video, a clip of that memorable India vs West Indies Test match of 1974 was also shown. In that match, India had registered a memorable victory over West Indies. Soha Ali Khan was seen sitting in the stands of Eden Gardens. He looked at an old photograph of his father and also talked about it.

Remembering her father, Soha Ali Khan wrote, “Abba, on your birthday, I wanted to stand at the place where the game remembers you. Eden Gardens may be empty today, but it is never quiet for you. A ground where you loved playing, where you captained the Indian team many times. Perhaps the most memorable was the 1974 match against the West Indies.”

He further wrote, “A ball from Andy Roberts hit you in the mouth, your cheekbone was broken. You came out of the field soaked in blood and moaning in pain, but still came back to play in the field and gave India a historic victory of 85 runs.” Remembering that test match, Soha Ali Khan also addressed her father as ‘Tiger’.
Mansoor Ali Khan played 46 test matches for India in his cricket career, in which he scored 2793 runs. He also scored 6 centuries and 16 half-centuries for India.
