Bonus Stock: The week was good for the Indian stock market after several months. In just 5 days, investors earned Rs 22 lakh crore. The coming week is also going to remain the same. Actually, the shares of three companies are going to trade ex-bones next week. These three companies include Beta Drugs Limited, Dhanalakshmi Roto Spinners Limited and KBC Global Limited.
First company beta drugs limited
Beta Drugs informed the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on March 19 that their board meeting will be held on March 27, 2025. In this meeting, the company will consider releasing 4,80,693 fully paid-up equity shares (face value Rs 10 per share) as a bonus issue. These shares will be released to the existing shareholders.
Second company Dhanalakshmi Roto Spiners Limited
This company informed the shareholders to get the approval of the bonus issue from the shareholders in the Extra Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on March 11, 2025. The company has also received in-principal approval from BSE. Dhanalakshmi Roto spinners will issue 39,00,300 bonus equity shares (face value Rs 10 per share). This bonus issue will be in the ratio of 1: 1, that is, 1 new share will be available on every 1 existing stock. The company has fixed the “record date” on March 26, 2025 (T-Day), to find out which shareholders are entitled to get bonus shares.
Third company KBC Global Limited
KBC Global has also decided to give bonus shares to its shareholders. The company has set a “record date” on March 28, 2025. This date will decide which shareholders are eligible to get bonus shares.
KBC Global has recommended issuing bonus shares in a ratio of 1: 1. That is, 1 new share will be available at every 1 existing share (face value 1 rupees per share). However, this proposal is still waiting for the approval of the shareholders.
What is bonus share?
Bonus shares are given free of cost to the existing shareholders by the company. These shares are issued from the company’s profit or reserves. The holding of shareholders increases due to bonus shares.
If you are not a shareholder of these companies, then before the record date you need to buy shares of these companies. There will be no benefit of bonus on shares purchased after a record date.
