Sunny Deol starrer film ‘Border 2’ did not miss the box office even in its third weekend despite the newly released films. This war drama has remained the audience’s favorite since its release in theaters on January 23. Although after performing brilliantly in the first week, there was a decline in its earnings in the second week, but on the third weekend it once again increased its pace at the box office. Talking about the collection of the film, the film had earned Rs 224.25 crore in the first week of its release and Rs 70.15 crore in the second week. After this, Border 2 earned 2.85 crores on the 15th day and 5.25 crores on the 16th day.

On Sunday, this film has also crossed the lifetime collection of Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor starrer Padmaavat (Rs 303 crore). Now it is coming close to surpassing the earnings of films like War (Rs 318 crore) and Bajrang Bhaijaan (Rs 320 crore).

Border 2 is inspired by the true events of the India-Pakistan war of 1971 and shows how the Army, Navy and Air Force fight together as one force. Directed by Anurag Singh, this film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar, Dutta and Nidhi Dutta. Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, Pranav Vashishtha and Medha Rana also play important roles in this war drama. Border 2 is the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster film.
