Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Ahan Shetty starrer ‘Border 2’ has been performing brilliantly at the box office since the day it hit the silver screens. Continuing its winning streak, the film directed by Anurag Singh has achieved another milestone and has earned more than Rs 100 crore on the third day of its opening weekend. Along with this, this film has also made many records in its name.
What records did ‘Border 2’ make on the third day?
This sequel to Sunny Deol’s 1997 blockbuster ‘Border’ is getting an overwhelming response from the audience in India and abroad. Social media is full of praise for the film and theaters are also seen packed with audiences for ‘Border 2’. With this, it is raining notes on this film. According to entertainment tracking portal Saknilk, Border 3 saw tremendous growth on the third day. The war drama earned Rs 54.5 crore, which is much higher than the Rs 30 crore and Rs 36.5 crore collected on the first and second day. With this the total collection of this film has now reached Rs 121 crore. The film has also made many records in its name on the third day.
- Border 2 has become the second biggest film of Sunny Deol’s career in just three days. It has left behind the collection of 90.34 crores of Jaat and 76.88 crores of Gadar Ek Prem Katha.
- In just 3 days at the domestic box office, Border 2 has overtaken Varun Dhawan’s 6 Bollywood films, which include Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Sui Dhaaga, Jugjug Jio, Kalank, ABCD 2 and Badrinath Ki Dulhania. With this, Border 2 has become the third highest grossing film of Varun Dhawan’s career.
- Border 2 has beaten the opening weekend collections of 8 films of the year 2025. These include many films including Dhurandhar (106.5 crores), Thaama (103.5 crores), Housefull 5 (91.83 crores), Sikandar (86.44 crores) and Syara (84.45 crores).
- Border 2 has become the 18th highest grossing film of Bollywood on its opening weekend. It has left behind many films including Dangal.
- Border 2 has also destroyed the records of 6 blockbuster films on the third day. These include Dangal (42.41 crore), Baahubali 2 (46.5 crore), Dhurandhar (43 crore), RRR (31.5 crore), KGF 2 (42.9 crore) and Gadar 2 (51.7 crore).
