On Monday, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty along with his son Ahan Shetty and the team of ‘Border 2’ attended an event organized in Mumbai to launch the song ‘Jaate Hue Lamho’. During this program, Sunil, who was a part of Border, became emotional while talking about his son Ahaan and had tears in his eyes. Rejecting the notion that everything is easy for star kids in the film industry, Sunil said that Ahan had to face a lot of turmoil after the flop of his first film.
‘Ahaan struggled a lot after the first film’
Sunil said, “After his first film, there was a little pause in his life and career. You know, there is always turmoil in our lives.” He further said, “Everyone thinks that Sunil Shetty’s son must have got a lot of work. But somewhere, Ahaan has struggled a lot in life.”
Sunil also admitted that watching his son struggle with disappointment and uncertainty was emotionally exhausting, but it also became a test of patience, resilience and faith for the family.
Sunil Shetty is happy with Ahaan getting Border 2
Expressing his gratitude towards the makers of Border 2, Sunil said that he is very happy that Ahan got such a big film at this important juncture of his career. Calling it the right opportunity at the right time, he said, “I am very happy that he got a film like Border 2, which couldn’t have been better. And I just pray that he does justice to his character and we all like the film.” Sunil also talked about the values that he has always tried to inculcate in his son. He told, “I have just told him that whatever he does, do it from the heart.” He further said that honesty and hard work matter more than getting quick success.
Recalling the support his family received during Ahaan’s difficult times, Sunil said that he is indebted to Border 2 producer Nidhi Dutta, adding, “That’s why I have always been indebted to her, and I am using the word ‘indebted’. I am not saying thank you, but I am indebted to Nidhi. Nidhi is like my younger daughter.”
