Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released the schedule of the fourth phase teacher recruitment examination (TRE-4). This examination will run from 22 September 2026 to 27 September 2026, the result of which will be declared in November 2026. Under this recruitment, there will be appointments on a total of 46595 posts. This news has brought great relief to lakhs of youth who want to become teachers in government schools of Bihar.
BPSC released revised calendar
Let us tell you that BPSC released its revised examination calendar on 17 February 2026. In this calendar, TRE-4 has been included under one stage written examination (Only Written), in which the date of written examination is given as 22 to 27 September 2026. At the same time, information has been given that the result will be released in November 2026. At present, all the dates are tentative, but it is a clear indication that the recruitment process is now moving forward.
For which teachers are these recruitments?
This recruitment is for teachers at primary (class 1 to 5), middle (class 6 to 8), secondary (class 9-10) and senior secondary (class 11-12) levels. These posts will be filled in the schools of Education Department and Scheduled Caste/Tribe Welfare Department. With such a large number of recruitment, the shortage of teachers in the schools of the state will be removed to a great extent. It is worth noting that Bihar has been facing shortage of teachers for a long time, due to which the education of children is affected. With this recruitment the education system will be strengthened and students will be able to get better education.

Why is TRE-4 recruitment important?
This recruitment of TRE-4 is very important like the previous steps. Lakhs of candidates had participated in the first phases. Now a large number of applications are expected to come in the fourth phase also. BPSC has also given the dates of many other examinations in the calendar, in which the preliminary examination of 72nd Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) will be held on 26 July 2026. However, TRE-4 is most discussed because it is related to teacher posts.
What things should candidates keep in mind?
Candidates are advised to wait for the official notification. Application date, eligibility, age limit, exam pattern and other rules will be mentioned in the notification. It is believed that the notification for this recruitment may be released in March 2026. Applications will have to be made online on the BPSC website. The exam may include subjects like General Studies, Languages, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences. Syllabus will vary according to the level.
