Political rhetoric has intensified regarding the bail of former MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar in the Unnao rape case. Former MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh has given an open statement in support of Kuldeep Sengar. He said that Kuldeep Singh Sengar has been granted bail, I welcome him. Injustice was done to Sengar, there was a conspiracy against him, just as there was a worldwide conspiracy against me.
Former MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh further said that a conspiracy was hatched against him too, but the public stood with him and he came out of it, whereas Sengar could not do so.

In his statement, the BJP leader also said, “Today I want to say with great responsibility that there was a conspiracy with Kuldeep Singh Sengar and those conspirators are still doing the conspiracy.” Brijbhushan Sharan Singh also raised questions regarding the protests. He said, “He is motivated from somewhere, there is someone behind him. Well, I have nothing to do with him. The court has given him honorable bail, so everyone should respect the court.”
He further said that “Dharnas and demonstrations are not going to do anything. If Kuldeep Singh Sengar was in jail, did his family protest? Lakhs of his supporters protested? He did not protest.”

Referring to the judicial process, the former MP said, “He went to jail and waited. He has been in jail for three-four years. He has come out after being released under the judicial process, so what is the problem in it?” He raised the question whether the country will survive through protests.
