India Pakistan Latest News: The Border Security Force (BSF) thwarted a major attempt to infiltrate suspected militants near the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir amid increasing tension between India and Pakistan.

BSF said in a post on ‘X’ early Friday, “BSF failed a major attempt to infiltrate near the international border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 8, 2025, at around 11 pm.”

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah said on X, “On Thursday night, I am going to Jammu to take stock of the situation after the failed Pakistani drone attack in Jammu city and other parts of the division.

What did BSF officials say on the infiltration of the terrorists?

BSF officials said that it is not yet clear whether a terrorist has also come in the grip of firing. He said that the situation will be clear on investigating the area in the morning. This infiltration attempt was made during the day, when India thwarted missile and drone attacks by Pakistan at Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur and some other places.

The local person from Jammu and Kashmir said, “As soon as we started dinner last night, we heard the sound of some blasts. At around 4:30 in the morning, the sound of explosions was heard again, but they too were ineffective by our forces. There is nothing to worry.

People of Jammu and Kashmir said, “Pakistan attacks citizens is nothing but cowardice. They (Pakistan) have no courage to fight our army. They can do so much. Our forces are giving a befitting reply and we are proud of them.”

Another person said, “Around 8 o’clock last night, we saw 3 to 4 drones. The Indian Army carried out retaliation, which has been going on all night. What Pakistan did is not right. We are not scared. We are safe in nearby schools.”
