Whenever tension increases on the India-Pakistan border ie Line of Control (LOC), the force that is first deployed is the Border Security Force (BSF). The examples of the strength, discipline and courage of this force have been revealed every time. BSF personnel stand on the LOC and international border (IB) for the security of the country in every situation, in every situation. BSF at the forefront of LoC
The BSF was formed on 1 December 1965 after the Indo-Pak war. Its aim was to further strengthen the safety of boundaries. This is the reason why this force is called “the country’s first defense line”.

The DG is given salary by the Government of India under Level-17, which is about Rs 2.25 lakh per month. Apart from this, government housing, vehicles, security, medical facilities and many other allowances are also included. Both the status and responsibility of this post are quite large.
BSF strength and training
The training of BSF soldiers is very strict. They are prepared to deal with weapons as well as every situation on the border. Their work is not limited only to border monitoring, but they along with the local police also participate in the anti -terrorism campaign. The deployment of BSF in sensitive areas like Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat is always always maintained.
