In the Rajya Sabha, Scindia said that efforts are being made to bring BSNL back into the profit and increase the number of subscribers. He said that for the first time from June to February this year from June to February this year, about 8.55 crore subscribers of the company have increased to about 9.1 crore subscribers. The company has reduced the cost along with increasing its revenue.
BSNL has prepared to improve its services. For this, the company has determined April as ‘Customer Service Month’. In this, an attempt will be made to improve their experience by taking feedback from customers using the company’s services across the country. Recently, BSNL reported, “All circles and units of the company will participate in this campaign.” It aims to improve the quality of mobile networks, increase the reliability of fiber broadband (FTTH) and resolve customers complaints quickly. In April, feedback will be taken from Customers from BSNL’s website, social media channels and other circles. After this, this feedback will be reviewed by Robert J Ravi, chairman of BSNL.
The company’s 4G network will be upgraded to 5G from June. The company plans to launch around one lakh 4G sites by June. Of these, about 89,000 4G sites have been installed. Indigenous technology has been used for BSNL’s 4G network. India has joined five such countries in the world that have developed their 4G technology. The government aims to expand this expertise to 5G network. The company’s network can be allowed to bid foreign companies in a contract of about two billion dollars of telecom equipment for upgrade to 5G. If this contract includes foreign telecom equipment companies, then this will be a big change in the government’s stance.
