Through this service, BSNL’s target is to compete with private telecom companies like Bharti Airtel. Earlier, Bharti Airtel started the SIM card delivery service. For this, the company has tied-up with Blinkit. To book BSNL’s SIM online, customers have to visit the company’s official partner website: https://prune.co.in/. On completion of this booking, the company’s SIM will be delivered to the customers within 90 minutes.
Recently, BSNL found spectrum in premium bands like 700 MHz and 3,300 MHz, which is important for 5G. The 5G network of private telecom companies like Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel is present in a large part of the country. To compete with these companies, BSNL needs to launch 5G service soon. Telecom minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had reported that BSNL has added 55 million new subscribers in the last six to seven months. He had said that efforts are being made to bring the company back into profit and increase the number of subscribers.
For the first time from June to February this year from June to February this year, about 8.55 crore subscribers of the company have increased to about 9.1 crore subscribers. The company has reduced the cost along with increasing its revenue. BSNL has also prepared to improve its services. For this, the company had determined April as ‘Customer Service Month’. In this, an attempt will be made to improve their experience by taking feedback from customers using the company’s services across the country. The company plans to upgrade 4G network to 5G from June. The company has a target to launch about one lakh 4G sites by June. Of these, about 89,000 4G sites have been installed.
