Now with this decision of the Yogi government, the discussion in the political corridors is also intensified and now the reaction of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former Chief Minister Mayawati has also come out. The BSP chief is very angry at this decision of the Yogi government.
Former CM Mayawati posted on X and wrote-“The decision taken by the Basic Education Council, Government of Uttar Pradesh under the guise of coupling/integration of primary schools, is not just justice to the smooth and cheap government education system given near their home to crores of children of the poor, but at first sight, it seems clearly inappropriate, non-essential and poor.”
He further wrote- “There is an appeal to the government that it should withdraw this decision of its coupling/integration immediately in the widespread interest of poor students. If the government does not withdraw its decision, then our party wants to convince all their parents and parents that our party will be reinstated the old system in the state by canceling this decision again after the formation of this decision. Will definitely consider sympathetically about changing. “
Protests are on to merger the primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh. Around 27,000 schools are to be merged under the National Education Policy 2020. Opposition politicians in UP are also protesting about this. Where Congress leader Ajay Rai said that the plan to close the school is not only a violation of the right to education.
