Morarji Desai’s budget record
Morarji Desai presented the Union Budget a total of 10 times during his tenure. He presented the budget for 1959–60 on 28 February 1959. After this, the budget of 1960–61 was presented on 29 February 1960 and the budget of 1961–62 was presented on 28 February 1961. For 1962–63, he first presented the interim budget on 14 March 1962 and later presented the full budget on 23 April 1962.
After this, the budget for 1963–64 came on 28 February 1963. For the year 1967–68, the interim budget was presented on 20 March 1967 and the full budget on 25 May 1967. Apart from this, the budget for 1968–69 was presented in Parliament on 29 February 1968 and the budget for 1969–70 on 28 February 1969.
