The illegal Madina Mosque built on government land in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh was demolished and the place was levelled. During the demolition action in Salarpur village of the district, all the administrative officers including DM and SP and police forces were present on the spot. DM Rajendra Pensia and SP distributed the cleared land among 20 poor residents after removing the encroachment.
Regarding the action, District Superintendent of Police (SP) K.K. Giving information, Bishnoi said, “In Salarpur village, alert residents themselves removed the structures after receiving notice from the administration. Information was given to the administration and police four months ago, and following the legal procedure, notices were issued and the structures were removed.”
Administration imposed a fine of Rs 8 lakh
Regarding this action, the SP has further informed that a fine of Rs 8 lakh was also imposed. As per the intention of the administration, 20 lands have been given to destitute and poor people who did not have any ownership rights earlier. These people will soon be formally recognized…” The SP said that in view of security, a force of 6 police stations and two PAC platoons were deployed here so that no untoward situation is created during the operation.
The mosque was built by occupying the land of the poor
According to Tehsildar Dhirendra Pratap Singh, on June 14, 2018, a report was given by the accountant that Haji Shamim had constructed a mosque by illegally occupying the government land. On the basis of this report, a case was registered and heard in the Tehsildar Court in the name of Gram Sabha vs. Haji Shamim Mutawwali. The mosque was built by illegally occupying government land allotted for the poor.
Actually, this case is of village Salempur Salar alias Hajipur of Ainchoda Kamboh area of police station. Here, a permanent mosque was constructed illegally on 439 square meter government land of new fallow category of Gata No. 641.
