Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has announced bumper recruitment for the year 2026. Under this recruitment, a total of 2972 ​​posts will be appointed in Assam Police, Forest Department and Fire Services. Under this recruitment drive, appointments will be made on a total of 2972 ​​posts. Among these, the maximum number of posts have been kept for constable (Grade-III), whose number is 733. Apart from this, 642 posts of constable (WO/WT) and 504 posts of forest guard will be filled. 405 posts have been earmarked for AFPF constable, while there will be recruitment for 337 posts of fireman. There are 211 posts of Forester (Grade-I), 74 posts of Game Watcher and 41 posts of Emergency Rescuer. Along with this, 11 posts of Bandman, 10 posts of Kevat (Boatman) and 2 posts of Bugler have been kept. Apart from this, 1 post each has been fixed for Constable (UB) and Sub Officer.

what qualification is required

In this recruitment, the educational qualification has been decided differently for different posts. For the post of Forester (Grade-I), the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university. For technical posts like Constable (WO/WT) and Sub-Officer, it is mandatory to pass 12th class with Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects. Whereas 12th pass candidates can apply for Forest Guard, Game Watcher and Constable (UB) posts. For posts like AFPF constable, bandsman and bugler, only 10th pass is considered sufficient. Apart from this, for the post of Kevat i.e. Boatman, it is necessary for the candidate to have good knowledge of swimming.

The minimum age of the applicant for this recruitment is generally kept at 18 years. The maximum age will be decided according to the post. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government rules.

How much salary will you get?

Selected candidates will be given salary under Pay Band 1 and Pay Band 2. The salary range will be from Rs 12,000 to Rs 70,000 per month. Apart from this, grade pay, dearness allowance, house rent allowance and other government facilities will also be available.
