Business Leaders Including The Founder of Zepto Have Given Their Reactions on Piyush Goyal Comment on Startups

Indian Startups: After Union Minister Piyush Goyal’s sharp response to the country’s startup industry, now many startup founders and business leaders are giving their reaction to this. In fact, while participating in the Startup Mahakumbh held in New Delhi on Thursday, Piyush Goyal compared Indian startups to China’s startup system, saying that Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles are working fast in China, while only delivery apps are being made in India, which are reaching people.

Piyush Goyal said, “Do we just have to make ice cream and chips?” Have to shop only? Do we be limited to the creation of gig jobs instead of deep innovation in technology and long -term progress? ”Let’s see what the industry leaders have on this?

Zepto founder Adit Palicha said, “It is easy to criticize a consumer internet startup in India, especially when you compare it with deep technical excellence being prepared in America/China.” The reality is that today about 1.5 lakh people are earning their livelihood from Jepto. “Palicha also said,” Jepto pays more than Rs 1,000 crore to the government every year. Jepto has brought a foreign direct investment of more than one billion dollars, invested hundreds of crores of rupees in India’s supply chain, especially for fresh fruits and vegetables. If this is not a miracle in Indian innovation, then I do not know what is then? ”

Ashnir Grover, who was a co-founder of Bharatpe, has also responded to Piyush Goyal for criticizing India’s startup ecosystem. He said, “There is only politicians in India who need” realty checks’. All the people of the country are living in reality. “He said,” China also started with food delivery and then later moved towards technology. It is a good thing to aspire for what they have done- perhaps the time has come that today’s job creators should be aspiring for more than 10 % economic growth in 20 years before saying good and bad.

Former Infosys CFO and investor Mohandas Pai said that it is not right to equalize China. He said that many other areas in India also have startups, but are small. He said that our startups should not underestimate, but should ask themselves what they have done to help grow deep tech startups in India as our minister?
