The allegations made by the Shahbaz Sharif government regarding the massive blasts that took place outside the Shia Mosque (Imambargah) in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on 6 February 2026 have been rejected. India’s Foreign Ministry has reacted strongly to this incident and termed such allegations as baseless and baseless. India said that the neighboring country is misleading itself by blaming others for its domestically caused problems.
Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘Today’s bomb blast in a mosque in Islamabad is condemnable and India expresses its condolences on the loss of life and property caused by it. It is unfortunate that instead of seriously addressing the problems affecting its social fabric, Pakistan is deluding itself by blaming others for its domestically caused problems. India completely rejects every such allegation, which is baseless as well as meaningless.
India was accused of attack
So far 31 people have died and about 170 people are injured in the suicide blast outside Islamabad’s Shia Mosque during Friday prayers. As soon as the blast took place, Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif accused India and Afghanistan without any evidence. As is his old habit. He said that the attackers may be related to India-backed groups. It has become a habit of Pakistan to blame India for terrorist incidents without any evidence.
